Donnie Ocean
CEO and Co-Founder, LightCell Studios
Donnie Ocean is a filmmaker, inventor, creative director, and AI authority whose career has operated at the intersection of storytelling and technology for over two decades.
As CEO and Co-Founder of Mean Cat Entertainment for six years, Donnie built and led multi-disciplinary teams across computer vision development, Unreal Engine production, hardware engineering, and marketing, delivering for clients including Google, The Oscars, Variety, the Associated Press, and the LA Lakers.
He holds three US patents in the virtual production computer vision space and developed a proprietary hardware product, software plugin for Unreal Engine, and mobile application achieving live compositing and real-time capture in production. His humanitarian work has raised over $450,000 for organizations including Pure Water for the World and Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, and includes a permanent installation at the Museum of Social Justice in Downtown Los Angeles. He is a Streamy Award recipient and published author.
